Release Date Set for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s New Album Missionary
Snoop Dogg’s long-awaited Dr. Dre-produced album Missionary is finally becoming a reality. The rapper has officially announced its release on December 13 through Death Row Records, Aftermath, and Interscope. Fans can check out a teaser video on Instagram, and listen to the album’s first single “Gorgeous,” featuring Jhené Aiko. The track is co-produced by Dr. Dre, Erik “Blu2th” Griggs, Fredwreck, and Preach Bal4.
Missionary is said to be a sequel to Doggystyle, Snoop’s 1993 debut also produced by Dr. Dre. Earlier this year, Dre spoke about the new album, saying, “This one will show a different level of maturity in his lyrics and my music. I think this is some of the best work I’ve done in my career.”
The album follows Snoop Dogg’s February 2022 release BODR, his first solo project on the revived Death Row Records.
